On the morning ©f the Fourth we
came near tossing coppers to decide
at what particular place we would
"blow in" our wad of patriotism and
small change. Being placed on the
programme decided us in favor of
Timms City.
Although the crowd was not large
enough to cauce a crush, it was of
sufficient size and very select. The
music was appropriate asd inspir-
ing, Miss Clara Druinmond manip
ulated the ivory keys with masterly
skill. The choir was largely com-
posed of ex music teachers and very
probably represented the best mu-
sical talent of the Panhandle. Hon.
B. M. Baker, Dr. Hoover and Will
Brewer were down for orations, but
the two former failed to materialize.
And the dinner! Yes, the dinner
was simply immense.
A tournament contest took place
in the afternoon and at night the
hopper and skippers got in their

the sinuous contortions of the
dreamy waltz;—but the hop hopped

The families of Messrs. Hughes,
Corwin, Flora, Judge Conneil and
others held a social reunion on the
banks of Gillalieu on the Fourth.
Reports or in unlimited supply of

handle folks are good feeders, crops
or no crops.
We are needing rain and are like-
ly to get it—sometime.

the contractor lias failed to show up.
New Jerusalem now claims that the
Kock Island road will make a bee line for
her golden streets in the near future.

Four wild mustangs have recently been
