Continued heavy receipts resulted
in a decline of 10 to 20 cents on

The Greer county suit against
the jail contractors, in the wilbarger
district court, hes been continued tO
the next term.
District court for Carson county
was in session at Panhandle City
last week but there waa ve*y little
business to transact.
A fine saddle, valued at $150 was
rattled of on Wednesday of last woek
at Mobeetie, and was won by Tom
Dolan with a throw of 40.
The prospscts for crops in the
Panhandle were never better at this
season of the year. Grass ia line,
and slock is getting fat fast.
Mr. Husebly, proprietor of ti e
Bildwiu house, at Miami is arrang-
ing to add twentv-five more rooms to

his already commodious hotel.
A cyclone went through near
Frazier, Greer county last week
demolishing soveral residence* and
unroofing numerous dug outs.
Bob Ford, who killed the notori-
ous outlaw, Jesse Jame$>, is run
ing a saloon and gambling den at
Amarillo. Potter county. Texas.
The men behind them now pro-
pose to consolidate on an agreeable
