Some things must be said.
First, I have ndt beard or
a "thank you" to our County
CofnmUrinoers for the pay raise
granted out law enforcement
department. Since it became a
very public issue, I think it is
very definitely in order. Thank
you. Commissioners.
Second, a "thank you" to Lew
Koersehnan for cleaning op the
tennis courts and area behind
the Presbvterian Church. It
looks so much nicer. Too bad
they've been so neglected by
players lately.
The third...and most distres-
sing to me...issue is our many
under-age drivers in our town.
I'm speaking of the Middle
School kids and the young High
School students who do not have
a driver's license. I have been
upset by this situation for
several years.
As each one of our older
children became eligible for
Driver's Ed. 1 would take them
out on a dirt road that was
seldom used and allow them to
"get the feel" of driving. (I feel
it is very unfair to the Driver's
Ed instructor to have to go
driving with lomeont who has
never driven at all). Then as our
teen-agers took the instruction,
got their driving permits, we
allowed them to drive as that
permit specified. Then they got
