The Family Bible of Thomas Trusvan Booth
The following Bible record is that of the family of an early Methodist circuit rider preacher, Rev.
T. T. Booth, contributed by his great granddaughter, Adena Jarvis, who possesses the original. She
has also donated a copy of his personal journal, The Rev. T. T. Booth 1876-1912, to the J. Eric
Jonnson Public Library in Dallas. Rev. Booth was born in Limestone County, Alabama in 1840, later
lived in White County, Arkansas and fought for the Confederacy from Arkansas. After he was
mustered out in Marshall, Texas, he moved his family to Texas where he "rode circuit." until 1912.
The picture of Rev. Booth and his wife, Ann Eliza Vinson Booth, was contributed by another great
granddaughter, Sylvia Booth Acker, who also gave us the death date for Thomas as 31 Oct 1910 and
for Ann Eliza as 14 Jan 1929.Thomas Trusvan and Ann Eliza (Vinson) Booth
