THE DALLAS JOURNAL was begun in December 1995 to continue the tradition of
excellence of THE DGS QUARTERL Y published from 1955 to 1994. The Dallas Journal is
published annually and includes sections devoted to genealogical research, special
features, and articles of general interest. The focus is on Dallas County, Texas and other
area information can be included at the discretion of the journal editor.
The 1999 Dallas Journal Volume number is incorrect. The correct volume number is
XLV.
