URGING FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION TO
INCREASE ALLOTMENT OF POWER TO RADIO
STATION KGKL.

HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS, There is a large section of the State, surrounding
Tom Green County, which is devoted primarily to the production
of cattle, sheep, goats, and other livestock; and
WHEREAS, The industries peculiar to this section are interested
in accurate and reliable weather and market reports, which
should be available through radio broadcasts; and
WHEREAS, Because of the distance from powerful radio stations,
such services are not available at the time most needed;
and
WHEREAS, There is located in the City of San Angelo Radio
Station KGKL, which would supply such services if it had adequate
power; and
WHEREAS, It would be to the best interests of the people
residing in the section herein mentioned, to have a radio station
of adequate power located in San Angelo; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the State of
Texas, the Senate concurring, That the Federal Communications
Commission be requested to increase the allotment of power to
Radio Station KGKL to the extent that it will be able to serve
the needs of the people of the section affected; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution be sent to the
members of the Federal Communications Commission.

SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION.
BE IT RESOLVED, By the Senate, the House of Representatives
concurring, that the House and Senate go into Joint Session
at 12:45 noon, May 27, 1937, for the purpose of hearing the
Governor's message to the First Called Session of the Forty-fifth
Legislature.

signature.
