limitations and conditions imposed by this Act shall not apply to
any person, firm, corporation, or association of persons pursuing
the business of selling mules, horses, jacks, and jennies."
SEC. 2. The importance of this legislation and the crowded
condition of the calendar create an emergency and an imperative
public necessity that the Constitutional Rule requiring bills to
be read on three several days in each House be, and the same is
hereby suspended, and this Act shall take effect and be in full
force from and after its passage, and it is so enacted.

WARDS IN BONDS OF CERTAIN POLITICAL
SUBDIVISIONS.

An Act to amend Article 4180 of the Revised Civil Statutes of the State
of Texas, 1925, as amended by Chapter 305, Page 684, Pargaraph 1,
Acts of the Forty-first Legislature, as amended by Acts, 1937, Fortyfifth
Legislature, Senate Bill No. 84, Section 1, relating to the investment
of surplus funds of ward or wards in the hands of guardians
or the lending of same; designating certain investments that may be
made, so as to provide for the purchase by a guardian of tax-supported
bonds of any county, or of any district or political subdivision
in Texas; or of any incorporated city or town in Texas subject to
certain restrictions; and declaring an emergency.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Texas:
SECTION 1. That Article 4180, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas,
1925, an Act entitled "Guardian and Ward," as amended by
Chapter 305, Forty-first Legislature, Page 684, Paragraph 1, as
amended by Acts, 1937, Forty-fifth Legislature, Senate Bill No.
84, Section 1, relating to the investment and lending of money
of ward or wards, be and the same is hereby amended so as to
hereafter read as follows:
"Article 4180. Investments. If, at any time, the Guardian of
the estate shall have on hand money belonging to the ward or
wards beyond that which may be necessary for the education and
maintenance of such ward or wards, he shall invest such money
in bonds of the United States in tax-supported bonds of the State
of Texas, in tax-supported bonds of any county, district, political
