ing in substance as follows, to wit:
That Plaintiff is a bonafide inhabitant
of the County of Collin. State of Texas,
and has resided in said connty for more
than nix months next prior to the tiling
of this suit. That on the 10th day of
August 1*9:', plaintiff and defendant in-
termoved in Collin county Texas That
on the nest after said marriage, the
defendant without any cause or occa-
sion abandoned the plaintiff with the
intention of permanently remaining
away, aud has remained separate and
apart from plaintiff since said time
that the conduct above stated constitu-
ted and was cruelty.
Wherefore, plaintiff pray, citation
issue the defendant to appear and an-
swer herein and on final hearing hereof
she have judgmert for divorce, dissolv-
ing the bonds of Matrimony existing
between plaintiff and defendant and for
all further and other relief pertaining
to this case.

with vour return thereon, showing how
yon have executed the same.

day, and long lines of people unable to
gain admission surged about the corri-

journal was read Chairman Cannon pre-
sented a deficiency bill measure appro-

flectively of the appropriations com-
mittee, then mutually proposed the
agreement they privately made before
the house met, for three honrs of gener-
al debate on the bill, to be followed by
a debate of one hour under the ft-min-
ute rule.
Mr. Barrett, (Rep., Maat.) asked if
optiortunity would be allowed for
amendment, and when Cannon answered
he did not know, he objected. His ob-
jection was greeted with hisses and
loud cries of "vote," "vote. " Mr. Bar-
rett yielding to the urgent appeals of
Republicans about him and withdrev
his objection. The agreement aa t
ine formally ratified. Then Mr. Can-
. iit opened the debate.
The bill was passed by a unanimous
vote.

Savers of Texas, the* rankiug minority
member of the committee, was more so-
licitous about making satisfactory ar-
rangements for the conduct of the de-
bate than anything else. He protested
against the introduction of the special
rule as liable to place Democrats in a
false attitude and asked, he said, only
for reasonable time to allow the Demo-
crats to define their position. He sub-
mitted a proposition which included a
provision for a general delate of three
hours, an hour aud a half on each side,
and one hour for deliate under the 5-
minute rule. At a conference with the
speaker the proposition submitted by
Mr. Savers was agreed to, and the bill
will >* considered for four hours with-
out special rale.
The Havrley Bill Signed.

has signed the Hawley bill providing
for two additional regiments of artillery
to man the coast defenses.
