Map shows township grid, roads, railroads, towns, military posts, Native American reservations, and natural resources in the eastern portion of Kansas. Also shown are the towns, counties, and overview of routes from the Missouri River to the gold mining area in western Kansas [modern-day Colorado]. Includes county population table, advertisement, land office locations, illustrations, and statement from D. W. Wilder, Surveyor General for Kansas and Nebraska. Relief shown by hachures. Scale not given.
