Mr. Nugent of Kerr moved that the
House recess until 2:30 o'clock p.m.
today.
The motion prevailed without ob-
jection.
The House, accordingly, at 12:08
o'clock p.m., took recess until 2:30
o'clock p.m. today.
AFTERNOON SESSION
The House met at 2:30 o'clock
p.m., and was called to order by the
Speaker.
HOUSE BILL NO. 79
ON PASSAGE
The Speaker laid before the House,
as pending business, on its passage,
H. B. No. 79, relative to requiring
reports of substantial interests of
state employees and legislators.
The bill was read third time on
this morning with an amendment of-
fered by Mr. Clayton pending at this
time.
Mr. Clayton withdrew the pending
amendment.
H. B. No. 79 was then passed.
Mr. Nugent of Kerr moved to re-
consider the vote by which H. B.
No. 79 was passed, and to table the
motion to reconsider.
The motion to table prevailed.

as postponed business, on its second
reading and passage to engrossment,
H. B. No. 88, A bill to be entitled
An Act to prohibit governmental
bodies from holding meetings whichare closed to the public; defining the
term "governmental body"; making
certain exceptions; providing for re-
lief by mandamus or injunction to
prevent closed meetings; making un-
lawful certain acts pertaining to
closed meetings and prescribing a
penalty therefor; providing for sev-
erability; repealing all laws in con-
flict; and declaring an emergency.
Consideration of the bill was post-
poned until 10:30 o'clock a.m. May 7.
The bill was read second time.

grossment.
Mr. Slider moved to reconsider the
vote by which H. B. No. 88 was
passed to engrossment.
