A quorum of the House was an-
nounced present.
The Invocation was offered by
Chaplain Clinton Kersey, as follows:
"In God's word we find these ad-
monitions:
'A good man out of the good trea-
sure of the heart bringeth forth good
things: and an evil man out of evil
treasure bringeth forth evil things.
'But I say unto you, That every
idle word that men shall speak, they
shall give account thereof in the day
of judgment.
'For by thy words, thou shalt be
justified, and by thy words thou shall
be condemned.' Matthew 12:35-36-37.
"Our Father and our God, We are
conscious this day, one day all will
give account to Thee.
If there be any here sulking as a
child, deal with and enlighten him.
Help us to see ourselves and be
ashamed. May we forget self and be
concerned for others.
Bless us in all that is right and
correct us in all that is wrong. Give
us help and mercy in the days to fol-
low. In Jesus' Name. Amen."94
