The Roma High School
Student Council officers
attended a meeting in
Falfurrias on February 7.
A discussion was based on
the Spring Convention to be
held March 11 at Brownsville
The senior class of 1979
will be holding a chicken
barbecue February 18. The
plates will be $2.25 each.
Anyone interested in pur-
chasing a ticket may get in
contact with any junior in
high school.

Junior CDA Day.

attended mass and com-
munion as a group, and the
local council of the Knights
of Columbus, members of
the Hospitality Committee
headed by Pilar A. Garza,
invited the members and
sponsors of JCDA to a break-
fast shortly after the church
services.
The occasion com-
memorates the 51st an-
niversary of the
organization's founding. The *
theme "Hand in Hand"
emphasizes their goals and
objectives as well as the
unique relationship between
the members and their
sponsors, the Catholic
Daughters of America. J*
The organization of young
ladies are making a con-
certed effort to combat child
pornography, to support
agencies giving refuge to
and care to battered
children, to aid in the t
problem of runaway youth *'
and to reach out in concern
to the young shut-ins of their
communities. Through their
program of message, ser-
vice, and community, JCDA
members are supporting the
cause of evangelization to I
bring the teachings of Christ
to all young people.

A Course in Disco Dancing
is being offered by the
Community Education
Program, according to
Narcisso Guerra, coor-
dinator.
The course will be held
once a week, two hours each
week, beginning next week,
at the R.O.T.C. Building at
Fort Ringgold.

and over may register for
the course. For details call
