Department of Highways
and Public Transportation
has issued a permit for
mowing and baling hay on
the right of way of FM 2686 in
Starr County, from the
junction of FM 1017 to Mile
Post 8 for a period ending
Feb. 2,1982. Abutting or
fronting property owners
within the above limit
wishing to mow and bale ha#
on highway right of way
along their frontage should
notify the Rio Grande City
Maintenance office of the
Department, telephone
number 527-3617, not later
than 5:00 p.m., Feb 27, 1981.
Failure to contact our Rio
Grande City Maintenance
office by the Feb. 27, 1981
deadline will indicate that
abutting property owners
along FM 2686 are not in-
terested in mowing and
baling their highway right of
way frontage within the
above indicated period.

Sealed bids will be
received at the office of the
County Auditor of Starr
County, Courthouse, Rio
Grande City, Texas, until
2:00 p.m., on the 19th day of
February 1981, for the
purchase of a trenching
machine with back filler. If
the bidder prefers to bring
the sealed bids directly to
the Commissioners court
they can do so since the bids
will be open in court on the
same date of February 19,
1981 at 2:00 p.m.
The specifications of set
equipment are as follows:
One twenty eight horse
power (28HP) engine with
rigid strong frame and tough
back filling equipment. It
must also have heavy duty
digging assembling. It must
also have 36" boom-12"
width-ditch cleaner.
It also must have heavy
duty back hole connections.
One (1) trailer with
HYD brakes. Capable to
transporting the machine
described above.
All bids must be enclosed
clearly marked (Bid for
trenching machine with
back filler) and addressed to
the County Commissioners
Court of Starr County, Rio
Grande City, Texas located
at Starr County Courthouse.
Bids are to be net bids
Counties are tax exempt^,

reserves the right to reject
any or all bids or portions
thereof and to waive any

elderly.
The polls at designated
polling place shall on said
election day be open from
7:00 o'clock a.m. to 7:00
o'clock p.m.
The absentee voting for
the above designated
election shall be held at City
Hall Building, in said city,
and said place of absentee
voting which is not a Sat-
urday, Sunday or an of-
ficial state holiday, begin-
ning on the 20th day and
continuing through the 4th
day preceeding the date of

voting shall remain open
