Cub Scout Adventure Weekend
held at Camp Perry in Rio
Hondo The weekend bought
together boys from over 25 Cub
Scout Packs from throughout the
Valley
The Cub Scouts were treated to
a day of fun activities that
included the BB-gun range, the
archery range, Pushcart races,
hat making, and the infamous
Obstacle Course
Though not required to stay the
night, evening activities were
conducted for those staying and
camping out. The nighttime
activities included sing-alongs,
skits, and pack cheers by a
campfire.
The boys competed with one
another for the fun of it. So
everyone was a winner Even
parents were seen sneaking off,
when they though no one was
watching them, and trying their
hand on the Obstacle Course,
some with better success than
others.
The boys received a patch as
recognition for attending the
weekend camp and a weekend to
talk to their friends about at
school the next Monday
Pack 240, which is sponsored

year and recruitment for more
boys and leaders to join in the
2001-2002 school year. The
Pack continues to show why
