NEW YORK, (Special).—Forty thousand persons an hour
-visitors from every state and every nation—must be ac-
commodated in comfort at but one of the entryways to the
New York World's Fair of 1939, according to arrangement*
the Fair Corporation is completing to handle a maximum
daily attendance of 800,000. The artist's drawing, as repro-
duced above, calls for a magnificent double-decked entry-
way with underpasses, overpasses, pedestrian walks, bu
terminals, comfort stations and bridge connections assuring
comfort while providing an area of architectural splendor.
Shown is a ramp leading from the exposition grounds t
ward the I.R.T.-B.M.T. subway terminal, at a point where
is necessary to cross over the Long Isiand railroad tracl
and to avoid undue congestion of pedestrian traffic. Show
in the left foreground is a domed restaurant within a foun
tain basin and a concourse bordered by grown plane-tree:
and, nearer, an open-air cafe and an information kiosl:
Along the flanking walls the artist has delineated the Fair'
world concept which looks to the building of a peacefu
happier World of Tomorrow.

Denton Jan. 12—An American bal-

Most of the helium supply of the
world comes from this modern Fed

the largest industries of its kind in
the world.
W hen lighter-than-air craft first
drifted through the sky-ways, hydro-
gen was used in the huge gas bags.
Hut hydrogen was inflammable, and
iany a ship was destroyed and many
a life was lost when, for various rea-
, ons, the gas caught lire or exploded
in mid-air.
Helium is non inflammable and was

1939 World's Fair
Has Neic Ideas About
Amusement Features
NEW YORK, (Special).—"Only seeing
will be believing," says President Grover
Whalen of the New York World's Fair
1939 Corporation, as ne tries to envision
what the Fair is planning, more than two
years in advance, in the way of facilities
for recreation, entertainment and amuse-
ment.
^very man, woman and child In the
United States, he says, has an interest in
the 1939 Fair and to some degree or other
has a part in the building of that Fair.
The exposition, therefore, will surpass
all previous fairs, not only in the demon-
stration of the wonders of the world or
present day life and in the projection of
the World of Tomorrow, but also in pro-
viding the itmost variety of entertain-
ment and amusement for every man.
woman and child.
The entiri world will be tapped for ev-
ery amusement possibility The tiresome
mediocrity of stunts and side shows—
the stock-in-trade relics of the amuse-
ment world of yesterday—will give way
to a new and modern standard of ex-
cellence The plan of the New rk
World's Fair has anticipated the re-
quirements for entei ainment and ii
making them part of the general
scheme oi the Fair, rather than allowing
them to spring up as an appendage or ;:n
afterthought Even the tiny children will
have a playground reserved exclusively
for their own use.
Mrs. Bill l^ee accompanied her hus-
band to Dallas Wednesday where he
