Description

The author has applied for a patent on a extinguisher for locomotive smoke stacks. The author then describes the different mills of the walnut lumber. On the other side is the letter from C.B. Moore. Add and Henry are trying to borrow a thousand dollars for walnut timber. A mill is offering them at $4.50 per hundred for the best logs. Jo Wallace is going to Texas again when it gets cooler in order to clear up Uncle Sam's land title. Uncle Sam's land is worth six to eight thousand dollars.
