Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Rogers went
to Nacogdoches Sunday afternoon to
see Mrs. Rogers' brother-in-law, Mr.
L P. Russell. but he is still in the
hospitai at Galveston, and not any
better. Reiatives and friends of Mr.
Russelt in and around Aito are hop-
ing he wiii soon be better and can
come home.
Mr. and Mrs. Robt. J. Dickey and
daughter, Dorothy Lea, and Mr.
Hugh Dickey spent the week-end in
Daiias with Mr. and Mrs. Milier B.
Dickey.
Master Larry Griffith is sick this
week and wiii be out of schooi a few
days. His schooi mates are hoping he
wiii soon be back in school.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Tannery of
Nacogdoches, Mr. and Mrs. O. L.
Tannery of Aito and Mr. and Mrs.
Enoch Pegues visited in the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Dickey Sunday
afternoon.

day, but more is needed. Everybody

Just about the time we thought
Mrs. C. E. Ramey was about to get
well, she took a relapse and was
taken back to the hospital in Nacog-
doches last Friday night. We hope
she will soon be able to come home.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Parrish of
Nacogdoches and Mother Parrish of
Lufkin, spent Friday with Mr. and
Mrs. J. A. Parrish. Mother Parrish
remained for an extended visit.
Mrs. Goff and baby, who are liv-
ing with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Ford, visited her sister, Mrs.
Loden and Mr. Loden of Atoy Friday
night.
Mr. and Mrs. Leon Murphy and
sons of Dayton, came in Saturday
night and are spending this week
with their parents and grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Marl: Adams and Mr.
and Mrs. Joe Murphy.
Edison McLain and a pal of Beau-
mont, spenit the week-end with his
mother, Mrs. Oscar Chase and Mr.
Chase.
Mrs. Bob Harvey went to Nacog-
doches on a shopping expedition
Friday.
M-Sgt. Robert Young and family
of Kaufman, came in for a visit from
Friday untit Monday with Pop and
Mom Young. Sgt. Young is to leave
for overseas service about December
20, so it was a sad parting.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ford and son.
Jack Jr., spent Sunday afternoon
with Mr. and Mrs. Loden of Atoy.
Mr. Buster Beasley of Rusk spent
Thursday of last week with his sister,
Mrs. George Russell and Mr. Russell.
Mrs. Enoch Pegues of Mt. Zion
spent Tuesday of iast week with
Mrs. C. E. Ramey.
Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Miles of Lake
Jackson visited Mr. and Mrs. George
Russell Tuesday of last week.
Pop and Mom Young's son, Robert
and family of Kaufman, took them
to a singing at Rocky Springs Sun-
day afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Daniels of
Rusk spent Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. George Russell. Mr. Russell said ]
he realty enjoyed the day as Mrs.
Daniei cooked dinner. He is chief
cook, bottle washer, and nurse for
his invalid wife. Mrs. Russeil's most
thoughtful neighbor is a negress.
