ELIGIBILITY
The artist must be a permanent resident of Texas, having lived at least six months in the state during the year preceding the competition.
Works submitted should not have been previously exhibited at any of the participating museums. Works must be original; copies of other works
and work done in school or under supervision are not eligible.
The exhibition will be part invitational. The sponsors have invited a number of established artists in the state, whose recognition, past achieve-
ments and current work merit automatic inclusion in the exhibition. The invited entries will be eligible for all purchase and cash awards.
ENTRIES
EACH ARTIST MAY SUBMIT ONE ENTRY. Sculpture or painting in any medium may be submitted. Paintings must be framed; works in fragile
media, such as watercolor and pastel, must be framed and under glass. Entry blanks must be completely filled out and attached to entries.
DO NOT DETACH sections of the card.
Ship entry to the Witte Memorial Museum, 3801 Broadway, San Antonio 9, Texas, prepaid. Accepted works will be returnedprepaid at close of
circuit. Rejected works will be returned col!ed after the jurying. Out-of-town entries delivered by hand must be called for unless boxes are
provided for return shipping.
ALL SHIPPED ENTRIES MUST BE DELIVERED TO THE WITTE MUSEUM BY WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 1962. HAND-DELIVERED
ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL 5 P.M. FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 1962.
SALES AND INSURANCE
Works sold will remain in the exhibition until the end of the circuit. A ten per cent commission on sales will be charged by the museum
making the sale.
Insurance will not be carried by the exhibiting agencies on works for this exhibition, but all possible care will be used in handling objects.
All works will be received with this understanding.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
The number of entries in the Texas Annual grows each year, and the competition increases as the standard of Texas art rises. The number of
accepted works for this exhibition must be limited to the space available at all participating museums.
