Rep. Susan
King named a
Fighter for Free
Enterprise'
The Texas Association
of Business (TAB) named
State Representative Susan
King as a "Fighter for Free
Enterprise" for her pro-
business voting record
during the 81st Legislative
Session. According to Bill
Hammond, President and
CEO, TAB considers this
accolade as one of its most
prestigious legislative
awards.
"During tough economic
times, it is imperative for
the legislature to contin-
ue to support economic
growth and to implement
legislation that promotes
continued success for those
who engage in the free
enterprise system. Texas,
unlike many states, is fac-
ing this challenge head on
and I am honored to assist
our state in continuing its
pro-business focus," says
Rep. King.
A reception hon-
oring Rep. King and
other "Fighters for Free
Enterprise" was held
in Austin on Jan. 27,
2010. Founded in 1922,
the Texas Association of
Business is a broad-based,
bipartisan organization
representing more than
3,000 small and large
Texas employers and 200
local chambers of com-
merce.

journey, but the beginning. Once a pet is brought
into the home, there are certain steps that need to be
taken.
It's important to keep pets healthy. Simply feed-
ing and giving them shelter is not enough. Schedule
regular check-ups for pets. Keeping them healthy is
important and can lead them to a long life.
"A regular, healthy pet should have once a year
check-ups," Brenda Stevens of Sweetwater Veterinary
Hospital said. "Puppies need to go to get vaccines, so
they will go more often, but your older pets, as long as
there are no health issues, can be good with a yearly
check-up."
Having new pets spayed or neutered is also impor-
