the round ups and gathered this herd of 3000 head together, put our Road Brand on them, whitch was O.on the back. We started with the herd. We drove up on what is called the Cap rock of the planes. And out about 2 or 3 days travel from the cap rock one nite it come a storm and awful big rain, The Cattle Stampeeded, and what I mean it was a Stampeed. Every hoof of them got away from us. I followed them aways but it was so dark I Just could not see any thing. I was then two or three miles from camp. I had lost all hearing of and sight of the cattle. So I turned and started back to camp. Well we always hang out a Lantern on the mes Wagon so we could find camp. Well the Lantern was hanging on the oposit side of the Mes Wagon from me, I could not see it untill I got with in two or 3 hundred yards of camp, so I went on in to camp and every wan was there except the Boss
