about with the cowboys of tlhe Swenson ranc' in and around
Bpur I have grovn to like the tomn more than I thought.
r,. Swenson's chief clerk entertained me in his home through
the week,and as his wife and children were gone,re
cbosfed our own meals. ,Tith the invitations out and an
occasional meal at the hotel or the restaurant we managed
to get by with not only our former weight but a little
gain therein at the end of the week. Blt tlhe brightest page
in this narative is that it cost us only about 2.00 each
for the week, and both of us declare that wie enjoyed the "eats"
nore than if we had be-n at tht hotel.
Last Tiuesday I went out with one of the Swenson cars to
where they were taking movie scenes of the Swenson ranches.
The general manager of the ranches had made elaborate preparations
for the occasion/ in the way of eating and sleeping
accomodations,and there was not'iig lacking to make us have
the very best time possible. I took several kodak pict;:res
of thie poses mn.de bytho cowp-oys and the cattle for t.e
rovie men. There never was a jollier crowd thromm together.
The two movie
men, Lf-r. Jones,one of S-;enson's men of the
L
ice force,and myself i.ade up a quartet to entortain the
crowd between poses. Real cowboys furnished abundant
-evmdcnce
of their skill with cattle. Altogether we had a
great, ti.-e, and I can say for the Swenson ranchmen and -the
management that they are eEcellent hosts. . -*

'rs.Love made good her name for her hospitality was LOCTfLY.
It has been trying to rain al 1 the weekly but yesterday
,was the nearest that we have had to getting it,wit>" a light
shov;er.
lMe had coraiunion services in the church yesterday,and the A
attendance was exceptionally good at the morning hour; especially
ceirng that Dr.!!unt of Stamnford-was in tovm in the
L.ethodist pulpit. Dr.Hunt made a Hobby speech at the i^ethodist
church Saturday night w-ich was well attended and
,eciated, there being 7ery fe-v of the opposite persuasion
present. Ferguson doesn' L seremn to be making as good showing
as he did awhile.
