Boston, Mass.
Dear papa and mama,Just
back from Everett Choir practice and
it is too late to do any studying and the water
is too cold to take a bath so I'll write a bit.
April Fool tricks have been prevalent today.
I have been lucky enough not to be aaught out
and out.
I bought my ticket to New York a day or so
ago and feel like the time is about up before
Easter. Have so much to do before that time
that I'm sure it will roll right along. I
have a quiz and two papers to prepare this
coming week, and another big paper I have
been trying to finish before Easter, Right
now I'm doubtful if I get it done.
.
Can't get a clergy fare in New Eng. so I
just got my ticket to N.Y. and will buy on
clergy rates from there to Richmond. Have to
save every dollar I can so we will have enough
to make the trip this summer and take another
year of schooling,
Dr. Bush, Presbyterian student pastor in
Boston, asked me to hold off from accepting
any job next year till he saw me as he thinks
he can land me a good pastorate for the year.
Of course that would pay more than what I have
this year, and since I will have less work to
carry it might be possible for me to assume a
pastorate.
