The Wiohita District C.E.Convention met in the First
Churoh at Graham last week frok Friday night to Sunday n
night, and it turned out to be a ery suooessful oonventi,
even though at ftrst there were few in attendance and
we had a good deal of trouble with li htd. Miss Butts
of Dallas oame to Bliasville Monday night following -Ai,
talked to our yougg people
a mighty fine talk and
do a lot of good here. Then Diok Newell took herf a"d
me to Throokmorton for a talk Tuesday night to the
young people there whioh resulted inthe reorganization
of the C. there, and by the way,oaused me to reconsider
a plan I have been thinking about putting on with regard
to my work
that of putting all my time on the Eliasville
ohuroh. I shall at least keep Throokmorton for
a-little while,long enough to see how this work develops
or what sort cf promise that work holds out for me.
The pretty weather we have had for the #past week
or so has been spoiled by another wet spell and it lcoks
very much lile it might rain a gcod deal before it is
over.

Jake has bought a team and is going into the oil
work in proper fashion,making -12.00 perday. He is tryi
to make money to go to sohoel on next fall for both '
