Dear folks at home,--"Some
days are my busy days;these are those"hakespeare()
Ya di'n know wuz so well read, dija?
Well, I'm not so well read as I might be if I
had more time. Things are coming up so fast and so ~insistent
that I hardly know which end of me is turned
up at any given time. Am cutting out a lot of band
and cther oivic work so I my have more time for the
more important work cf the ouroh, but it seems every
time I out out one thing I take on two or three others;
and get a cussin' 0ot for cutting out the ope thing tco.
Have been back from my vacation two Sundays 3rd
ans 4th Sundays in August. Several of the pastors
in Gainesville had their vacations durin the whole
month of August and had no preaohing in their churches.
oonseauently I had extra good crcwds and fine sintin
our choir being assisted by icod singers from ether
h cirs.
We observed the Assjebly' Special Day Sunday
which was the close of the week of prayer for REdruits
to the Ministry and Mission Service. Both ervioes
were made' t conf crm to that program, and, I really
believe a deep impression was made on one or two who
may volunteer f one or, te other branch of the service.
The aare set up for regular teaching this
winter T1 esville. When they heard that
Jake and E. . were not to be back in A.C. and a strong
possibility of others they think a lot of not coming
back they at once began to make arrangements'to stay
in -Gainesville for the winter. They already have a
few students left from their summer school, and expect
to Aet auite a number more right away, as a(on as
school opens up and people are settled for the winter's
work.
I must close and see to a millii n cther'
things tcday.
Love to all,
'v
