How do I cash a check?
Students may cash personal checks up to
$100.00 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Monday - Friday, in the Business Office
by showing their valid McMurry ID card.
Any check returned for an reason will
automatically be turned over to a
collection agency. There will be a
$15.00 service fee charged for each
returned check.
Where do I get a clearance permit?
Students may secure a clearance permit
from the Business Office near the end of
each semester before taking final exami-
nations. This must be done to assure
proper disposition of the student's
financial obligations to the College.
This card may be held if a student has
outstanding library fines, traffic
tickets or other such debts to depart-
ments of the college. Final grades
cannot be recorded, transcript issued or
degree awarded until financial obliga-
tions have been satisfied and clearance
is secured.Does McMurry have a guidance and
counseling center?
The comprehensive guidance and counseling
services of McMurry College are centered
in the Student Services Office (OM # 102)
with professionally trained counselors.
The campus minister, faculty members, and
residence hall supervisors also assist
students through counseling.
Vocational and academic counseling is
available in (Old Main #214) with the
Academic Advisor.
Where do I find out about financial aid?
The financial aid office is located in
the Madgen Building, Room 107. Financial
Aid assistance may take one, or any
combination of the following forms: 1.
scholarships, 2. grants, 3. loans,
4. student work. There is an application
process required before receiving any
financial aid. If you have any questions
as to your eligibility contact their
office.I need a job, where do I go?
On-campus - Each year there are a
limited number of opportunities for
employment in a varied number of jobs on
campus. Job placement will be made
during the week of registration at the
Financial Aid Office. Time sheets must
be kept daily and turned in to the
Business Office on the 25th of each
month. Paychecks will be available the
5th of the next month.
Off-campus jobs are listed on the
Placement board outside Room 212 in the
Old Main building. Students should check
with the Placement Office concerning any
of these jobs.
Where is the lost and found?
The lost and found is located at the
information desk of the Campus Center.
Items can also be turned in or claimed in
the Student Services Office.I I
