MARCH WINDS BROUGHT a flurry of activities and
four new citizens of the month to TJ.
Doug Taylor has been a leader in school activities and has contrib-
uted much to the youth of Port Arthur through his work with the Teen
Club. Debbie Lee has been an active and involved citizen of TJ. Her
activities range from Swingsters to Rep. at Large. The crowning
honor came this month when she was elected Queen of the 1970 i
Senior Ball. Tennis is this season's sport and Paula Beard was hon- /'
ored for her ability at the game. TJ has an excellent, award-winning ',' se 'o ao
choir and for good reason. It has an excellent director, Mr. Lloyd >as # nr,

1 _iTHIS MONTH BROUGHT Spring to TJ.
Elected as citizens of the month for
April are Ronnie Louvier, Willa Decker,
Kathy Lang, and Mr. John Badgett.
Ronnie, a fine young musician has made All-State
Band for three consecutive years. Willa is involved
in countless activities. To each she gives her spirit,
devotion, and unmatched personality. An out-
standing athlete, Kathy was recognized for her ten-
nis talent. Mr. Badgett is the very able and devoted
director of the Maroon and Gold Band.
THE FINAL MONTH of school and
Gary Weldon, Louanne Dionne,
Lonnie Ledet, and Mr. Loinel Row-
land were chosen as May Citizens
of the Month.
Gary's contributions as president of the Ma-
roon and Gold Band are invaluable.
Louanne has devoted much of her time to
Congress. TJ's star baseball player is Lonnie moiLi~ w
Ledet. A credit to his profession and a genu-
ine asset to TJ is Mr. Rowland.104
