Dedicated and Devoted Future
FUTURE NURSES HOLD THEIR MEETINGS every
second and fourth Tuesday each month. The main
service given by the Future Nurses is aiding the
nurses at St. Mary's Hospital. They present gifts to
several of the nurses at St. Mary's. More of their ac-
tivities include selling programs at home football
games, selling forget-me-nots for the Disabled Amer-
ican Veterans, collecting items for Rusk State Hospi-
tal, decorating the Christmas Tree in the Pediatric
Ward of St. Mary's and giving apples to the teachers
at Thomas Jefferson.
In March, the Future Nurses took a trip to the Fort
Worth-Dallas area where they visited various types
of hospitals.
The year ended with the club's Annual Awards
Party, when scholarships for deserving seniors and
presentation of awards to members were given. The
