Members of Forensic Advance to Regional Meet
MEMBERSHIP IN THE TJ FORENSIC Society
is gained through participating in competi-
tion speech events including: debate, poet-
ry reading, extemporaneous and persuasive
speaking, and duet acting.
Susan Hall and Karrie Capello comprised
this year's women's debate team. They won
first place trophies and medals at the
Nederland High School tournament in De-
cember and at the Lamar Tech meet in late
February. This preliminary competition
leads to district UIL speech events held in
April from which the winners advance to re-
gional meet.
Patti Holton won the first place persuasive
speech trophy at the Nederland tourna
ment. Mike Cichowski represented our
