Panhellenic is a wonderful example of the
co-operation that exists among the sororities.friendliness and
Bang; Pop: Phizzzzh! and in came bouncing
1957 with plenty of sparkle and vigor . . .
classes came and went and soon came the final
cramming, beating into the brain . . . ah! our
grades were made . . . we paused to look at
the new buildings going up all over the campus
. . . started growing fuzz for Western Week
. . . took in the Monte Carlo Casino . . . and
rushed to meet the time on our spring semester
registration card.January witnessed many new sights on our growing
campus. Pictured above is Coach Terrel's pride and joy,
the new track under completion.

Look, proud Lamar student. Pictured above is another
wonderful addition to our campus, the new business
building.
Pictured to the right are our new $25,000.00 tennis
courts, another "New" for Lamar. Our national champs
deserve them.Those (ugh!) horrible finals come around in January
and pictured above are Tom Willard, Truman Harris, and
John Canon, studying, even in the union! Is it any wonder
that the Sigma Phi Gams had the highest average for
