PRESBYTERIAN REVIVAL
nwsm
Rev. James L. Fowle of Rich-
mond, Va., is conducting a re-
vival meeting at the Presbyter-
ian church.
The meeting was first an-
nounced to begin Tuesday night
of last week but Rev. Fowle
was in the .midst of a "big re-
vival at Troupe and couldn't
"break loose" at that time and
it wras postponed until Friday
night. The pastor of the Troupe
church, Rev. Batt. brought Rev.
Fowle to Winn«boro in hi? car
'Friday and in the evening a
"get acquainted" meeting was
| held. There was no preaching
''done, but splendiU talks were
'made by Rev. Batt, Fowle and
(Wallace. Rev. Batt's talk was
principally introducing Rev.
i Fowle. lie was overflowing in
praise o fthe ability and powei

to do the preaching. So stiong
iwas he in his endorsement that
some of his hearers were a-
jfraid that he was tjo much of
a flatterer. However, since hear

Fowle they have decided that

now being marketed and canned
in large quantities. The bank
deposits in the little city of
Lindale have increased to more
than $f;0,000 in the past threo
weeks, due solely to the mar-
keting of blackberries. Tin-
three canning plants at Lindale
are running night and day, an !
the two canning plants at Ty-
ler are doing the same thing.
The tomato movement, is
heavy and the crop is good, anr,
■ it is estimated that Fast Tex-
as will ship at least 200 cars
of tomatoes. The Tomato Ex-
change at JaeksonvlF.e is fun-
ctioning entirely satisfactory to
all members. Early peaches are
now being marketed and most
counties have a splendid crop.

Some folk* have not yet learned that putting money in the
bank is not .spending it. Because they haven't got their
hand on it they feel as though they are losing something.
Putting money in the bank is just transferring it
from one pocket to another—A safer one, though.
