Miss Gladys A Howell had a suprlse
gift party. Mlsg Howell who is alwayi
full of erilles met her guests at the
door. Little Georgia. Gray who Btood
near the door (also) relieved them
of their hats and packages. The even
ing was spent with much laughter.
At the appointed hour Miss Howell
called her guests in the house after
which she disappeared. The guests
were called to find her on entering
the dining room which was beauti-
fully decorated in purple and white
crepe paper and ferns. In the center
of the table was a large wedding
cake with the bride and groom in
center. On the table a strip of pap:r
marked ach place with a card bear-
ing news for each. Near the cake was
a card bearing an announcement:

The guests were called into the front
where each enjoyed ice cream and
cake after which Mlsg Howell led
the way up stairs to a room; the bed
was laden with all kinds of beautiful
gifts. We were again called to the
dining room where the wedding cake
wag cut; Miss Greta Priestley was
lucky In receiving thte dime; Miss
Alberta Morgan he thimble; Mrs.
C. L. Bunks the wish bone; Miss
Gladys Howell the ring. Miss Howell
then entertained her guests with
piano music. Misses Howell Nina
and Christine Stewart rendered two
ir.leclons: "My Isle of Golden Dreams
and "Peggy O' Neal."- The guests de-
parted expressing themselves having
spent a pleasant' afternoon. Mr. and
Mrs. Kirk Washington entertained
informally on Tuesday June 6th. in
their beautiful home. The occalsion
was most informal and a most enjoy-
able afternoon of social chat and
conversation. Was pouplar: Miss G. A.
Howell daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Washington showed her usual ability
by rendering piano selections. It
seemed that the Instrument almost
talked and her rhythm tcchinque
and masterly seemed wonderful to
the hearers her wonderful skill
almoct marvelled the guests. The
occasion was a treat and the en-
thusiastic guests were reluctant to
extend "Good Dyes" for the afternoon.
Those present were: Rev. J. D.
Gentry Rev. Provo the great evange-
list of Oklahoma City Rev. C. G.
Smith Rev. Rucker. Mr. 'i. J. Gamble
