When Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport was built in
1974, no one could predict it would be the second busiest
airport in the world in only seventeen years. Today more
than 2,000 daily flights connect DFW with nearly 200
destinations worldwide. Soaring into the Twenty-first
Century, DFW Airport plans to invest $3.5 billion within
the next 20 years doubling the Airport's capacity, and
generating more than $30 billion to the North Texas
economy.
