Zog Confident His
Notion Will Aid
Albanian Invasion
■LONDON —(UP) — King Zog
of. Albania — who is living with
his family at a country estate in
txfiirdshire, England — says
he is certain the Albanians will
give every possible aid to the
Anglo-American troops invading
their country.
King Zog says he is waiting to
assist the Allies in any way he
can. He says he has no informa-
tion on the invasion other than
tadio reports.
LONDON — (UP) —
Prime Minister Winston
Churchill had this to say of
Adolf Hitler today. Here
are the complete quotes
from Churchill:
"We owe a-great debt to
the extraordinary blunders
of the Germans. 1 always
hate comparing Napoleon
with Hitler, as It seems an
insult to the great emperor
and warrior to connect him
in any way with a squalid
caucus boss and butcher.
"When Hitler escaped his
bomb, he described his sur-
vival as providential. 1
think that from a purely
military point of view we
can all agree with him."

Emerging from the Masonic
Home game of last week with-
out injuries after opposition was
cut down by the Mason's 'oss of
their star quarterback, Roberts,
the Ponies are putting over fin-
al defensive plays today in '>n ef-
fort to stop the Brown wood
Lions to inw.de the Mustang
Bowl Friday night.
Looking back on the Masonic
Home battle, the Mustangs made
16 first downs, rolling up 205
yards at scrimmage and 137
yards passing. Towner Leeper
and Bob Brown completed 13
out of 18 passes, two for touch-
downs. David Elrod whose punt-
ing is looking good, booted twice
for 32 and 30 yards. Penalties
charged against the Ponies were
three for 45 yards.
Most specular line drive was a
oo-yard run by Towner, who la:-
eraled to Berry left tackle. Berry
carried the ball to the 8, a total
gain of 5(1 yards. No one was
more surprised, perhaps than
Berry himslf when he went gal-
loping toward the goal with the
pigskin hugged beneath his arm.
His job being tackling and block-
ing mostly, he is rounding out
fine performance each day.
Coaches Mack Alexander and
k. 1-:. Newton are putting the
lads through their final workout
j today before trotting on the field
| for the first home game of the
season.
Jaycees season ticket sale was
said to he gaining momentum
j and the team will be well sup-
i ported if a spirited downtown
drive means anything.
Starting approximately the
same team as he sent on the
field at Fort Worth Coach Alex-
ander expects to play Abe Lin-
coln again at center: Dismuke
and Owen at ends; Berry and
Gainer at tackles and propably
Hedrick and Tucker, guards. In
the backfield he will play Scot',
full, Feagan, left half. Towner,
quarterback and Elrod or Brown
right halfs.
