the scream again. He turned and looked into a
secluded alleyway.
Judith stood in a corner with a masked man
pointing a gun at her, demanding her satchel.
As though acting on impulse, Tony ran
towards the man. When he got close, he screamed,
"Hey, douchebag!"
The man turned. Tony launched himself
and rolled forward. At the end, he stood up,
grabbed the gun, forced it into the air, and
wrenched it out of the masked man's hand. He
then threw a jab at the man with his free hand,
knocking the man off balance. Tony seized the
opportunity and twisted the man's arm, causing
him to fall to his knees in agony.
With the man disabled, Tony kicked the gun
away. He then forced the man onto his stomach,
using his arm and pressure to keep him pinned.
As he did, Tony looked at Judith, asking if she
was alright.
Staring at Tony with a shocked look, Judith
replied, "Yeah. Yeah, I am. Where the fuck did
you learn that?"
Tony shrugged. "I'm a preacher's kid, too.
Got jumped in middle school a lot because of it.
Decided I didn't want to put up with it and took
martial arts. No one's fucked with me since."90
