EDWIN SMART WINS FIRST
HONORS
Edwin Smart, who removed with
his parents to West two years ago,
is graduating next Friday with
highest honors from the Lamesa
High School.
Edwin received his preliminary
training in Mineola grade schools
and completed his freshman and
sophomore years in Mineola High
School before moving to Lamesa.
According to announcements re-
ceived here this week, Edwin fin-
ished first out of a class of 73.
He will deliver the valedictory ad-
dress. He expects to enter Texas
University this fall.
