This
is Another One Of The Good Things Fur Which The Ton
Has Worked Dilligently and We Now Hope To Secure A
Raise In The Grade Of Postoffice.
Monday last saw Lubbock's
first mail train come in. As an
evidence of its extent we learned
that it weighed over eleven hun-
dred pounds. The people of this
section have shown a great deal
of patience in the matter of mail
service and deserve commenda-
tion. The next step along the mail
route will be to have the post of
fice raised from the third to theider
second class. When this is ac-
complished it will mean still bet-
"iter service and at the same time
ant the otlice where the j.ost
master will have a chance to
make a dollar ore.' and aw bile.
