It Is understood that extensive sur

route. That surveys from Slaton to
Kort Worth show that by following
the main line to about Tost City or

east a million dollars would be saved
In construction. There must be a di-

Texas probably w ill be held up until
the question of reorganising the
road Is settled. Application for the
certlticatea was made about five
months ago
Operating reports for the first six
months of 1921 showed a saving of
approximately $6000000 over the
cost of the same period- in 1920
while both freight and passenger re-
ports for the same period were fa
vorable. Cost of operation has been
more favorablo to the road during
tho last six months.
