Leading McKinney Druggists Urge
You to Try Hyomei, the Guar-
anteed Cure for Catarrh.
Rev Dwight Hillis pastor of
Plymouth church, Brooklyn, N Y
said in his sermon recently, that
it was his belief that in the next
generation it will be considered
vulgar to be rich: "It will
be vulgar to have jing-
ling chains on your hor-
ses," he prophesied, "so that
people may kuow of your ap-
proach; vulgar to have bright
colors blazing on your carriages
in the form of monograms; vulgar
to publish in the newspapers the
amount spent on flowers at a
funeral or reception, and if any
continue to be so vulgar you will
pass such a man as you would a
common beggar or criminal.
This country is very soon
going to learn sobriety
prudence, simplicity and the es-
sential vulgarity of the wearing
on the outside the exhibit of the
property of the possessions."
Bryan on Parker.
W J Bryan gave a reception
from 9 to 11 Friday moi niug at
the Delaware hotel at Fort Worth,
To his callers he did not hesitate
to express his opposition to the
Parker movement, which he re-
gards as an abject surrender of
the Democratic party to the mon-
ey power. Assurances are given
that while Bryan will carry the
tight honestly and earnestly to St
Louis convention, it will end
^here. Asked if he would sup-
port Parker u nominated the
Nebraskan said:
"I can not suppose such a
thing, as it ia one of the impossi-
bilities. I would not answer a
hypothetical question of that
character, because I do not con-
sider it at all probable."
"Who is your preference for
the candidacy?" was asked.
"I have no choice. I am for a
man who has opinions and who is
able to state them; a Democrat
who is not too cowardly to say
what he believes, and why he be-
lieves it. A Democrat who can
be suppressed as easily as Parker,
is not strong enough with the
people to be the nominee. The
Democratic party has never been
a party of cowardice. It has
never failed to declare itself snd
it never will. The people will
not accept as a nominee a man
who skulks and bides his views."
"Will Hearst get the united
suppport of the labor vote?"
"I have told you that I will not
discuss candidates -and I will
not."
Any reader of this papor who
suffers with catarrh, or who is
subject to catarrhal colds, is in-
vited to Smith Bros. & Co.'s
store for a complete Hyomei out-
fit on approval. So confident are
they that Hyomei will cure the
the worst and most deep-seated
case of catarrh that they will
furnish a lull month's treatment
of Hyomei on trial.
While it would be unreasonable
to expect a chronic case of ca-
tarrh, which has been growing
worse tor years, could be cured
within a month, yet they feel sure
that the thirty day's treatment
will convince the user that Hyo-
mei is infallible in driving catar-
rhal poison from the syotem
There is no dangerous stomach
drugging when Hyomei is used.
Simply breathe its healing bal-
sams through the neat inhaler
that comes with every outfit, and
the germ-killing and health-giv-
ing air will penetrate to the most
emote cells in the air patsages of
the head, throat and lungs, and
drive catarrhal pcison from the
system. Nothing else will so
quickly cure a cold in the head or
stop an ordinary cough.
Singers and public speakers
frill find Hyomei invaluable. It
strengthens the voice and gives it
a rich, clear tone. Catarrhal
deafness is eurred when Hyomei
and the special Hyomei balm are
used.

The people have at last come to
realize that an extraordinary man
is in McKinney and that thete
have been few such preachers in
our city as is Dr Gillon.
The crowds are so large that
efforts will have to bo made to
make more room to accommo-
date the people.
At night another very large
crowd gathered to bear the great
preacher. The subject was:
"How to bo saved." (Ps. 4:4-5)
The nreacher said in pari: The
world has never understood God,
The sinner has a1 ways had the
wrong view of God and always
will, until he shall have come and
accept God's terms of salva-
tion. Many of tnoso who stand
in pulpits have misrepresented
God. God is not pleased to see
men lost, indeed lie is doing all
tie can to save men, but men re-
fuse his great love.

I. That we should fear God.
"Stand in awe, and sin not."
Because
1. God is holy and you are un-
holy. God h righteous and you
are unrighteous. God is pure
and you are impure,
2. God i absolutely the only
being that preveuts you irom
slipping into hell. Remove God
and every human being shall be
hurled into the bottomless abyss.
3. There is a time coming
when God will be compelled to
let vou slip into hell, unless you
repent.
II. Examine yourself careful-
ly. "Commune with your own
heart upon your bed, and be
still."
1. While you are at your daily
duties. Take every opportunity.
2. When vou go to sleep
think upon your condition.
3. Think upon your life
until you shall have reached the
eud of your own strength.
III. Offer your sacrifices of
righteousness.
1. A sincere repentance of
your sin.
2. Bring the blood of Christ
whicn was shod for you.
8. Then tiust your all to God.
Services will continue twice
every day and all are cordially

The readers of this paper will
be pleased to learn that there is
at least one dreaded disease that
science has been able to cure in
all its stages, and that is catarrh.
Hall's Catarrh Cure is tbe only
positive cure known to the medi-
cal fraternity. Catarrh being a
constitutional disease, requires a
constitutional treatment. Hall's
Catarrh Cure is taken internally,
acting directly upon the blood
and mucous su-faces of the sys-
tem, thereby destroying the foun-
dation of the disease and giving
the patient strength by building

I have of late been repeatedly
urged to make the race for local
representative and 1 have given
considerable thought to tbe pro-
Fosed candidacy mainly because
was not sure that the cnuntv
would bo pinperlv represented
on some questions of vital inter-
est to the people, but after inves-
tigation I find that T O Murray,
who is now a candidate deserves,
and is worthy the consideration
of every voter in the count v.
He is a young man who has strug-
gled hard to acquire an education
which qualifies him for the res-
ponsibilities of citizenship. He
has been teaching for several
years and has succeeded admira-
bly in this direction. He is
morally sound on all questions
wh eh concern the constituency
of the county, and 1 find commeu
dation onlv for him. Regarding
as 1 now Jo that the candidates
who arc before t he people are
sufficient in number for a just
selection 1 wish to thank all who
have been interested in any way
in my proposed candidacy for
their confidence in my ability to
represent the county justly and
fairly. I am sincerely,
