have returned from the West. They

Singing schools are the order of
the day; one at Bethlehem, one at
Freegrass having closed Saturday
night with good success. We like

Since our last writing, the grim'
destroyer of mankind has visited
our community, his victim being
Mrs. Capllngcr, wife of A. J. Cap-
linger. Mrs. Capllnger was thirty-
seven years of age, was a member
of the Methodist church, and died In
fuU assurance of a living faith She
leaves a heart-broken husband,
three children, several brothers and
sisters and hosts of friends to mourn
her loss. The remains were laid to
rest at the Mt. Olive cemetery,
funeral services being conducted by
Rev. Mack Cook of McKinney.
Beecher Cameron started his
steam plow Friday.
Powell Brooks has rented near
Rock Hill and will shortly move
there. We regret to ! >se Mr. Brook

Tiie White's Grove camp meeting
is in full blast, with splendid preach
ing. good singing and much inter-
est. The pastor, Rev. Wright, of
Allen. Is being assisted by Rev. J.
A. Old and Rev. Ashburn. the latter
from Nevada. Campers are moving
In and a great meeting Is anticipat-
ed. Quarterly meeting will be held
Saturday and Sunday.

Jesse Eakle and wife left last
week for a visit to friends at Lock-

returned Friday from a trip to West

will move with Ills family In a short
