Supt. VV. L. Boper of the Anna
Public School was a business visitor

that several weeks of school of the
current term remained to be finished.
There will be eight pupils ill the
graduating class this >ear—six boys
and two girls. Two hundred eighty-
six pupils nr.- enrolled and six teach-
ers are employed.
Prof. W. S. Smith of Princeton was
iu the county hub city today attend-
ing to business matters. 11c reports
his school work as being very satis-
factory. Seven teachers are employ-
ed, and there are eleven members of
the graduating class tills year. The
year of work will end on Juno 2.

rived this evening to spend the day

capital today. Mr. McDougal Is a
dealer In general merchandise in bis
town nnd reports that last week's
business was dull, as nil farmers were
very busy working their crops. Ac
cording to Ills observation the farm-
ers of the Westminster section will
plant about one-hiilf ius much cotton
this year as last, rind much of this
surplus hind has been seeded In onts
nnd wheat. The balance will be plant
ed In corn. Mr. McDougal Is a trus-

stork had recently visited their home

daughter. Mrs, Crockett is a dailght-
r of Mr. Hlurton and Mr. Porter Is
his grandson. Mr Hlurton now has

grand-children.
I. S. Lindsey, who liven two miles
west of Poland, was in town today
and reported finite a heavy rain last
night at Ids place. He said there
was much water still In the road this
morning as he came to town. How-

Mr. Lindsay stated that "Noting the
