sober and one of them said, ' You go to preaching,
Fred, and we'll all come and join your
church.' Then Brother answered, ' I'd consider
it a great honor if God would call me to the
ministry; but I should not like to have you join
my church just because I was the preacher. If
you didn't believe from the depths of your soul
that the church I belonged to was the true
Church; that its ordinances were the commands
of God, that its government was the government
that the Apostles ruled by; that its Baptism
was the Baptism of Jesus; in fact if you
were not led by God, your reason, and your inclinations,
to join my church I wouldn't wish
you there, but I would have you to join the
army of Jesus of Nazereth, Prince of the Kingdom
of Life, and let Him lead you into the
truth.' After that the boys rode away. When
I'm a Christian I want to be a Christian like
Brother, and papa, and mamma."
Then a call came from close by, and the two
girls hastened to meet the aunt who had been
searching for them among the trees of the
