WOMANLESS WEDDING.
One of the cleverest farces staged in High School this year was a
"Womanless Wedding, given by the High School students for the benefit
of the "Tattler" debt. The play was a success both financially and as
interesting. The women characters, as represented by boys ii the school,
were gowned and costumed in the latest fashions from Weatherford and
Milsap. The blushing bride, Miss Jim Williams, was so beautiful that
despite the enormous size of the groom, Bud Jones, he was forced into
the background as all eyes centered upon her.
Lee Cornelius, as announcer, executed his part in an admirable manner
and the beautiful bevy of belles, the Misses Ledbetter, Coon, Brewster,
Yeager, Dickerson, Stoker, and Perry, thrilled and captivated the hearts
of all in the audience.
Everyone was more than pleased with the wonderful wedding.
