THE "TATTLER" HISTORY
The Mineral Wells High School paper, the "Tattler," was first
edited by the school in the year 1920 with Charles Green as the editor-
in-chief. Of course the paper required much work, for it was only in
its infancy and we owe our thanks to these loyal, hard working stu-
dents who really put the paper "on its feet."
In the second year of its career the "Tattler" was under the super-
vision of Charles Halsell. The paper grew in size and also in sub-
scribers and fame.
Jack Hamilton was the editor for the third year and under his
able supervision the paper grew and received recognition in all parts
of Texas.
For the school year of 1922-23 David Miller was the editor-in-
chief and during this year the "Tattler" took third place among the
High School papers over the state of Texas and bright prospects
seem ahead.
With a happy, successful past, the Mineral Wells students are
looking forward to the future to make their "snappy" paper the best
in the whole of Texas-and this is not impossible.
