i 5 aI '~~- tThe basic aim of the Mineral Wells Hiqgh School
Student Council is to enrich both the student life and
the school situations by providing satisfying experiences
for all students and by furnishing a practice school of a
true democracy.
The council is in charge of scheduling, approving, and
presenting the persons in charge of the assembly pro-
qrams, of selling candy during the lunch period, of raising
and lowering the flag each day, of changing weekly the
citizenship charts on the bulletin boards, and of encour-
aging school spirit.
During football season good-will trips were made to
schools whose teams played at Mineral Wells. This year
the Student Council has become a member of the Texas
Association of Student Councils.
