PROGRAM FEATURES
FOR FALL
Supplied by your council, the fall program quarterlies present many fea-
tures for pack, den, troop, patrol, post, ship, and squadron programs
during September, October, and November. Whether a meeting or activity
program in a quarterly is adopted in full or adapted in part, it can save
some planning time and give unit leaders the benefits of widespread
experience. The quarterlies are geared to the fall program material in the
leaders' program notebooks, BOYS' LIFE, and district roundtables.
For Explorer Leaders
Promoting safety among youngsters, learning to
compete in rifle matches, getting out the voters, and
preparing for a disaster are all set up as unit activi-
ties; as well as a roundup of prospective Explorers
to be run by district cabinets.
Some city hicks and country slicks who exchanged
visits give tips on doing the same.
Descriptions of posts specializing in pigeon rac-
ing, mountaineering, and electronics suggest series
of activities for any post.
Other unit activity ideas are on a "Coed Work
Party, ' "United Nations Day," and social know-
how.
