Editor Atlanta News.
I have been thinking for a
long time, I would write an
article for your valuable paper,
and have deferred the effort
until now. I haye tried iny
fortune in several places since . I]
left Cass County and have lan-
ded back in Ennis, Ellis County,
near where I started from.
I am lecturing on cot ion seed
products.
I have been with Commission-
er Kone, "corps of lecturers"4
organizing Partners Institutes,
I was with them on their Tour
in North Eastern Texas just
before Christmas, and was
called to Oklahoma and remain-
ed there two weeks, and was
envited to attend -the Waco
Cotton Growers Convention, and
make a speech on cott3n seed
products, which I did and my
speech was attributed to Col. J.
W. Allinson of Ennis Texas. "
I was th e man that had the
cotton seed flour cake9 at Waco,
and the business met* of Waco
furnished cold drinks and we
had a lunch and it created quite
a sensation after all my trouble
and expenses the ^other fellow
got the credit. Well,"small men
are never noticed in a great
convention anyway, : but my
little speech created more
sensation than anyone delivered
in the convention.

Cass County can't afford to
let Smith, L unar, Hopkins and
other counties take all the prizes
and get all the people diverted
that way without making any
effort to win some.
