TAKES SECOND GAME.
Angelo Wallops Baliinger to the Tune
of 15 to 1.
San Angelo April 9.
(Special.) The second ball game
played with BalHnger .yesterday
resulted in a decided victory for
the locals. The honie team play-
ed the game from sart to finish
but the visitors wentvinto the air
and were hammered iard. The
two games demonstrates that
Ballinger at her best ould but
hold the locals down for a close
game while under unfaprablp
circumstances they prove "easy
marks." The 'score stood 15 to 1
atihe close of the game. The
attendance was fair.
Wes Niobols who pitched
Thursday's game for Angelo is
unable to continue with the team
on account of his health. He
has tendered bis resignation and
leaves this afternoon. for Temple
bis home. Nichols will likely be
replaced by Hal Lawson of
Brownwood. Manager Spencer
called up Lawson over the tele
phone and has arranged for him
to come to Angelo next week. Mr.
Spencer says JLawson is in piime
condition. Conner and Lawson
have worked together and make a
strong battery. Lawson is con-
sidered one of the heaviest batters
