"Here comes the .judge—There goes the
license!" That's the safety message on
one of Exploring's new "mod" safety
posters. With six to a set, the posters
are being distributed courtesy of the
Coffee Information Service (representing
the coffee industry).
The International Association of
Chiefs of Police passed a strong resolu-
tion at its recent convention in Hawaii
urging all police departments to spon-
sor at least one Scout troop and one
law-enforcement Explorer post. Promo-
tion flyers for organizing such posts
are available at local council offices.
A "Trained" strip for the uniform has
been approved for council use to des-
ignate trained unit leaders and adult
den leaders. The term "basic training"
is no longer used, so the new strip will
be worn only by those who have com-
pleted training for their particular
positions. The strip will be worn
directly below the badge of office.
Junior Leader Instructor Training
Camps and National Conservation In-
structor Training Camps will be conducted
this summer at both Philmont Scout Ranch
and Schiff Scout Reservation. Councils
must file applications by April 1.
An agenda for a Webelos den organiza-
tion meeting is found on page 32 of the
1967 printing of the Guidebook to Cub Scout-
ing. Webelos dens can increase reregistra-
tion and boost Cubs into Boy Scouting.
Keep America Beautiful, Inc. honored
the Boy Scouts of America with an engraved
trophy at an awards luncheon for "activi-
ties in helping to de-litter America."
Because of the 2-year tenure require-
ment , the earliest possible time that Den
Leader Training Awards can be requested
is September 1969. Applications for
all training awards must go through local
council offices.
A new religious emblem called the Ararat
emblem has been approved for Boy Scout
members of the Diocese of the Armenian
Church of America. Requirement pamphlets
are available from the diocesan office,
630 Second Avenue, New York, N.Y. 10016.
Requirements were prepared under the di-
rection of Deacon Houhannes Kasparian of
the diocesan office.
The General Scout Committee of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
has approved a "Duty to God" trail pro-

emblem. The new program in no way changes
the "Duty to God" religious requirements.
