Kids Say No! to drugs in Chicago
One of the country's largest antidrug rallies took
place last September. Sponsored by the BSA's
Northwest Suburban Council and several corpo-
rations, the event featured Chicago Bears quar-
terback Jim Harbaugh. More than 28,000
"Drugs: A Deadly Game!" booklets, developed
by the BSA, were distributed.
Entertainment included the professionally-pro-
duced "Kids Say No!" production of skits, live
music, and dances performed by 140 students,
ages seven to 13. More than 30,000 youth at-
tended the event, which was open to the general
public.

brotherhood."

In a special audience at The Vatican in Octo-
ber, Love emphasized to Pope John Paul II that
there are more than 600,000 Catholic youth in-
volved in BSA programs.
Of Scouting's 130,090 units, more than 9,700
are chartered to the Catholic Church.
