/4 MONTH BEFORE CHRISTMAS, AND
all through the ship,
The Sea Scouts were working on Santa's big trip.
They hung colored lights from the gunwales with
care,
Then mounted a tree near the upper deck stair.
They erected a sleigh pulled by plywood reindeer,
And a sign on the pilot house, spreading good cheer.
When it was finished, they secured from their mission
And stood by to sail on the year's expedition.
